Sweet and Spicy Pecans
YOU NEED
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- Sea salt
- Cumin
- Ancho chili powder, or regular chili powder
- Garlic powder
Directions:
Preheat coconut oil in non-stick saute pan over medium heat. Add pecans to saute pan and stir to coat with coconut oil using a spatula. Sprinkle pecans with a dash of salt, a dash of cumin, a dash of chili powder and a dash of garlic powder, to taste. Toss with spatula to coat evenly. Add honey and toss to coat. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, continuing to coat pecans with liquid as it reduces and thickens. When there is almost no liquid in the bottom of the pan remove from heat and cool pecans on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
