Julie’s Creamy Dreamy Chocolate Cashew Butter Frosting (Vegan)

YOU NEED:

  • ½ cup Julie’s Real Classic Cashew Butter
  • 7 Medjool dates
  • 3 oz dairy free chocolate, melted (we used Hu Simple Dark Chocolate)
  • ½ cup plant milk
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:

1) Remove the pits from the dates.

2) Bring ~2 cups water to a boil and then remove from heat. Let the dates soak in the hot water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes drain water from the dates using a colander.

3) Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender or food processor and blend on high for 1 minute until smooth.

Pro Tip:
Frosting can be used immediately, but for a thicker frosting, transfer to a container with a lid and place in the refrigerator for ~2 hours. This will help thicken the frosting and make it a better consistency for a piping
bag.

Store frosting in the refrigerator until ready to use or for up to a week.
